Storytelling Wall

As one of the world’s most recognized brands, Timberland knows that appearances are key.

That’s why, when they wanted to remake their stores with modern, modular systems that would allow for flexible merchandising, they came to In-Store Experience.  Whether it’s their legacy yellow boot, or their new sustainable sneakers and sandals, their products are given a chance to tell their stories, and the customers are making the register ring.

Challenge

Located in Herald Square, this Timberland flagship has heavy traffic, but limited space. The existing shoe wall featured over 100 SKUs, but no storytelling. Timberland needed an innovative solution custom-built to their space.

Solution

With a custom-designed modular wall system, In-Store Experience allowed Timberland to cut the SKU count in half, add merchandising and storytelling, and actually increase shoe sales.

Through its unique peg and receptacle grid design, the system provides unlimited flexibility for merchandising footwear and apparel, along with being able to integrate several storytelling elements such as graphic panels, texture panels, and touch screens, all of which can be easily repositioned to accommodate planogram updates.   Both store associates and customers have embraced the new system, as it rolls out to other departments and locations.
