In-Store Experience Launches Innovative Food Ordering Kiosks with Citizen's by SBE

In-Store Experience was chosen by global hospitality company SBE to design and manufacture their food ordering kiosks for the new Citizen's Market Hall in New York City.

 

We have installed the first kiosks in the hall and just finished installation in their soon-to-open Citizen's GO storefront. The kiosks have already been a huge success, and the client has identified more markets for expansion in 2022.


The kiosk at Citizens Market Hall at the newly opened Manhattan West is a truly innovative approach to the food ordering experience. It is part of a new culinary marketplace in the growing Hudson Yard area of New York City installed by C3 by SBE (Beverly Hills, CA). Supporting these new food concepts are 8 self-service kiosks arranged throughout the hall. The sleek kiosks house a 32” touchscreen which allows customers to scroll through menus from 9 (and growing) food concepts (Umami Burger, Krispy Rice, Soom Soom, and more). However, unlike a traditional food court, customers can choose items from any and all menus, combining their selections into one order, and one bill. The integrated credit card device processes payment and SMS messaging tells the customer when their order is ready. Even with items from multiple restaurants, their order is prepared and served all at once in one pick-up location.

 
 

In-Store Experience designed a kiosk that is as glamourous as it is functional. Never has self-service been so simple or luxurious. Sleek and glossy, the powder-coated sides exactly match the metalwork of the nearby benches, creating a seamless integration into the environment. With 8 kiosks placed throughout the hall, nobody has to wait in line to place their order. The interface, powered by software from GetBite (New York, NY), is vibrant and engaging, showing mouth-watering images of the food in high resolution. The simple and intuitive experience steps customers through the ordering and payment process in moments. Seamless integration with the POS handled by Toast connects the network of kiosks with the counter-based POS terminals. Truly a one-of-a-kind self-service experience.
